Moderation that speaks
your language
Describe your community and what you want in plain language — the copilot proposes the exact spam-protection settings and moderation rules, shows what each change will do, and applies nothing until you confirm it. Available on the Business plan.
- Plain-language setup
- Preview before anything changes
- Every change confirmed by you
What you can ask it — literally
These are the copilot's built-in starting points — but you can ask in your own words. It reads intent, not syntax.
From a sentence to a working configuration
Describe it in plain words
Tell the copilot about your community and what you want — allowed behaviour, problems you're seeing, rules you have in mind. No technical vocabulary needed.
Review the proposal
The copilot answers with concrete settings and rules, plus a "This change will:" summary so you see the consequences before anything happens.
Apply when you're ready
Nothing changes until you confirm. One click applies the configuration; every applied change is recorded in the moderation journal.
You stay in charge. Always.
The copilot never changes anything on its own — every single change needs your confirmation. It proposes, simulates and explains; the decision to apply always stays with you. That is a design principle, not a setting.
The AI Moderation Copilot is included in the Business plan, alongside the rest of Telm's advanced moderation stack.
How the copilot works — and where its authority ends
Moderation tools traditionally make you translate what you want into their language: thresholds, regex patterns, filter toggles. The copilot flips that around. You write what you want in the words you would use with a human admin — "P2P deals are allowed, but block scams and contact-drop spam" — and it translates that into the exact Telm settings and rules that express it. You see the full proposal before anything is applied.
Every proposal comes with a simulation: a plain summary of what the change will do, so you can judge it against your community's reality instead of guessing. If the copilot suggests tightening a filter, you see which behaviour it targets. If it drafts a rule, you read the rule the way a moderator would. Nothing is hidden inside a model's head.
The copilot also learns from your group's own traffic. Run Telm in Monitoring Mode, then ask the copilot to analyse what it observed — it tells you what to adjust before you switch on enforcement, based on the messages your community actually sends rather than generic defaults.
And the trust boundary is absolute: the copilot never changes anything on its own. It proposes, you review, you apply. That single principle means you get the speed of AI configuration with the accountability of manual control — every applied change also lands in the moderation journal, attributed and reviewable.
Frequently asked questions
Can the copilot change my group's settings without me noticing?
No. The copilot never changes anything on its own — every proposal requires your explicit confirmation before it is applied. Until you press Apply, your configuration is untouched.
What can I ask the copilot to do?
Set up spam protection from scratch for your kind of community, tune existing settings based on the traffic Telm observed in Monitoring Mode, or create specific moderation rules — for example, deleting messages with multiple external links from accounts that joined less than a day ago.
How do I know what a proposed change will actually do?
Each proposal includes a simulation summary — "This change will:" followed by the concrete effects. You judge the proposal by its consequences, not by trust in a black box.
Which plan includes the copilot?
The AI Moderation Copilot is a Business-plan feature. Groups on other plans can see it in the dashboard and upgrade when they need it.
Does it understand messy, informal descriptions?
Yes — that is the point. Describe your community the way you would to a human moderator: what is allowed, what annoys you, what has been slipping through. The copilot turns that into concrete settings you can read and edit.
