How Support Mode tracks a conversation to resolution
Support Mode reframes the group as a help desk. An incoming query becomes a ticket that is tracked from first message to resolution, so a question does not scroll away and get forgotten. SLA timers attach response-time and resolution targets to each ticket and raise an alert before a target is breached rather than after, giving your team a chance to react. Tickets can be assigned to the right team member and ordered by priority, so the urgent ones surface first. AI suggestions draft candidate replies your team can send, edit or discard — the AI proposes, a human still decides what actually goes out.
The result is that support behaves professionally at scale: nothing is silently missed, the queue has an owner, and the metrics that show whether you are keeping up are captured rather than guessed at. Paired with analytics you can watch response times and SLA compliance as trends and staff accordingly. The honest framing is that Support Mode organises and accelerates human support — it does not replace the humans. SLA timers measure and warn, they do not answer tickets themselves, and the AI drafts are a starting point that still needs a person's judgement before a member receives a reply.
Frequently asked questions
Do the AI suggestions reply to members automatically?
No. AI suggestions draft a candidate reply that your team can send as-is, edit, or discard — a person always decides what actually reaches the member. This keeps you in control of tone and accuracy on anything sensitive, while still saving the time of writing routine answers from scratch. For fully automatic canned responses to common questions, pair Support Mode with triggers.
What happens when an SLA timer is about to be breached?
The SLA timer raises an alert before the target is missed, not after, so your team gets a chance to pick the ticket up in time. The timer measures and warns; it does not answer the ticket itself. You set the response-time and resolution targets, and both the timers and the resulting compliance figures feed into analytics so you can see how you are tracking over time.
Can I run support and normal moderation in the same group?
Yes. Support Mode organises inquiries into tickets while the moderation and anti-spam layers keep running underneath, so a support channel is still protected from spam and abuse. AI helps categorise incoming inquiries so genuine questions are separated from noise, and triggers can auto-answer the most common questions before they ever need a human.
Does it work for a small team without dedicated agents?
It does — ticket tracking, priority ordering and SLA alerts are just as useful for one or two admins, mainly by making sure nothing is missed rather than by routing across a large team. Team assignment is there when you grow into it. The AI drafts help most when volume is high relative to headcount, which is exactly the small-team situation.
