Managing your Telm subscription: status, changes, grace

How to manage a Telm subscription: view status, upgrade or downgrade, cancel, understand the grace period, handle failed payments and mobile-app subscriptions.

Коротко

Manage your subscription in the group Billing section. A subscription is active or trialing while it grants features, and becomes past due, canceled or expired when it does not. Changing plans takes effect through the same billing panel, cancellation keeps access until the paid period ends, and a grace period covers a briefly delayed renewal (72 hours for card payments, up to 60 days for mobile app purchases).

1Where to manage billing

Every subscription belongs to a group, so you manage it from that group Billing section at telm.com. There you can see the current plan, its status, the billing cycle, any “Add-ons” and the next renewal.

The owner or any admin who set up the subscription can make changes. If the group is inside an organization, billing is handled at the organization level instead.

2Understanding subscription statuses

Your subscription always has a status, and it decides whether paid features are on.

  • Active: paid and current, full access to the plan
  • Trialing: in a trial, full access to the plan
  • Past due: a renewal payment did not go through, paid features pause right away; the payment provider retries the card
  • Canceled: cancellation requested, access continues until the paid period ends
  • Expired: the period ended without payment, the group falls back to Free
Only active and trialing subscriptions unlock paid features. Past due and expired drop the group to Free once grace runs out; a canceled subscription keeps access until the paid period ends.

3Upgrading and downgrading

You can move between plans at any time from the Billing section. Upgrading unlocks the higher plan features right away, and downgrading takes your group to the lower plan and its limits.

You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing when you change plans, which is the moment to lock in the two-months-free yearly price.

4Canceling and the grace period

When you cancel, the subscription is marked canceled but the group keeps its paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing is cut off mid-cycle.

Separately, there is a grace window after a period ends to absorb a delayed renewal payment. For card payments this grace is 72 hours, which covers normal payment retries. For subscriptions bought through the Apple or Google mobile stores it is much longer, up to 60 days, because the stores run their own retry and hold periods.

5Renewals and receipts

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period. A successful renewal moves your paid period forward, and you receive a receipt for the charge through the payment provider.

Yearly subscriptions renew once a year and monthly ones every month, always on the same cycle you chose at checkout.

6When a payment fails

If a renewal charge fails, the subscription becomes past due and the payment provider retries automatically. During the grace period paid features stay paused, but nothing is deleted, giving you time to fix the card or payment method.

If retries and grace both pass without a successful payment, the subscription expires and the group returns to Free until you subscribe again.

If you notice a past-due status, update your payment method promptly. Once grace ends without payment, the group loses paid features until a new payment succeeds.

7Web versus mobile app subscriptions

Subscriptions bought on the website are handled through Stripe, while subscriptions bought inside the mobile app go through Apple or Google in-app purchases. Manage a mobile subscription in the store where you bought it, and a web subscription in the group Billing section.

Store subscriptions get the longer 60-day grace window to match how Apple and Google handle billing retries and account holds.
