Add groups to a Telm organization for network-wide protection

Learn how to attach your existing Telegram groups to a Telm organization so they gain Business-level protection and appear in your network panel.

You attach groups you already manage to your organization from its panel. Each attached group instantly gets Business-level protection under the Enterprise plan. A group can belong to only one organization, and you must be an admin of that group to attach it.

1How groups and organizations connect

Attaching a group links it to your organization. From that moment the group is managed as part of the network: it appears in your combined analytics, it can receive bulk settings, and your organization team can manage it.

The link does not change anything inside the Telegram chat itself. Your members, history, and admins stay exactly as they were. It simply tells Telm that this group belongs to the network.

  • An attached group gets Business-level protection while the plan is active.
  • A group can belong to only one organization at a time.
  • You can detach a group later if you need to.

2What you need before attaching

Two conditions must be met. First, you must already be an admin of the group inside Telegram, or the person who connected it to Telm. This prevents attaching chats you do not control.

Second, the group must not already belong to another organization. If it does, detach it there first, then attach it to the new one.

If a group still has its own separate per-group subscription, it no longer needs it once inside the organization. Telm flags this when you attach the group so you can cancel the now-redundant per-group plan.

3How to attach a group

Inside the organization panel you open the groups picker. It shows only the groups you manage that are not yet part of any organization, so you cannot accidentally grab someone else's network.

4Groups that already have a plan

Once a group is inside an active organization, its protection is fully covered by the Enterprise plan. A separate per-group subscription on that same group is no longer needed.

If Telm flags this when you attach a group, cancel that group's own per-group plan — the Enterprise plan alone keeps the group at Business level.

5Removing a group from the network

You can detach a group at any time from the organization panel. After detaching, the group leaves your combined analytics and stops receiving bulk settings.

A detached group falls back to its own subscription, or to the Free tier if it has none. Nothing inside the Telegram chat is deleted or changed by detaching.
