Add-ons are optional purchases that sit on top of a group plan. They are billed through the same system as plans, on the same monthly or yearly cycle, and they require an active paid plan underneath them.
There are two subscription “Add-ons” (the custom bot and the AI community manager), plus two ways to expand usage: member capacity blocks and one-time DM broadcast credit packs.
2Custom white-label bot
The custom bot add-on lets you run Telm under your own bot instead of the shared @telmcom_bot. Members interact with your brand, while all moderation and features work exactly the same.
It costs 29.99 dollars per month, or 299.90 dollars per year with two months free, and requires an active Pro or Business plan on the group. If the underlying plan lapses, the custom bot is paused until the plan is active again.
3AI community manager
The AI community manager add-on gives your group an AI autopilot: scheduled digests delivered to you, on-demand conversation summaries, one auto-generated post a day on your topics, and revival posts when the chat goes quiet.
It costs 49 dollars per month, or 490 dollars per year with two months free, and like the custom bot it requires an active Pro or Business plan. It is purchased per group and billed on the same monthly-or-yearly cycle as every other subscription.
4Member capacity blocks
When a group grows beyond the members included in its plan, you do not have to jump to the next tier. Instead you add capacity in blocks, charged as a second line on the same subscription.
The block matches your plan: Basic adds 1,000 members for 3 dollars per month, Pro adds 5,000 members for 5 dollars per month, and Business adds 25,000 members for 10 dollars per month. Blocks only change when you add or remove them, so your bill stays predictable.
- Basic: plus 3 dollars per 1,000 members per month
- Pro: plus 5 dollars per 5,000 members per month
- Business: plus 10 dollars per 25,000 members per month
- Free cannot add capacity, so a growing free group needs an upgrade
5DM broadcast credits
Pro and Business include a monthly allowance of direct-message broadcasts (2,500 and 10,000 respectively). When you need to send more in a given month, you buy one-time credit packs instead of upgrading.
Credit packs are a single charge, not a subscription: 2,500 messages for 5 dollars, or 10,000 messages for 15 dollars. They top up your sending balance for larger campaigns.

6How “Add-ons” bill and expire
Subscription “Add-ons” follow the same billing cycle as plans: the same statuses, the same renewals and a grace window after the paid period ends. If a renewal payment is briefly delayed, the add-on keeps working during the grace period rather than cutting off instantly.
Because an add-on requires an active plan, letting the plan expire also ends the add-on entitlement. Re-buying an add-on after a cancellation simply starts a fresh subscription on the group.
7When each add-on makes sense
Choose the custom bot when your community should see your brand rather than the shared Telm bot. Choose the AI community manager when you want the bot to engage members, not just moderate. Add capacity blocks the moment a group crosses its included members, and buy broadcast credits for one-off campaigns that exceed your monthly allowance.
