Telm Add-ons: Custom Bot, AI Manager, Extra Groups and Credits

Optional Telm add-ons: the white-label custom bot, the AI community manager, extra groups on Pro and Business, and one-time DM broadcast credits, with how they bill.

In short

Add-ons layer on top of a paid plan. The custom white-label bot is 29.99 dollars per month per group and needs Pro or Business. The AI community manager is 49 dollars per month per group, also on Pro or Business. Extra groups add more groups to a Pro or Business subscription for 19 dollars per month each, and DM broadcast credits are one-time packs (2,500 for 5 dollars, 10,000 for 15 dollars). Add-ons follow the same billing and grace rules as the plan and stop if the plan lapses.

1What “Add-ons” are

Add-ons are optional purchases that sit on top of a group plan. They are billed through the same system as plans, on the same monthly or yearly cycle, and they require an active paid plan underneath them.

There are two subscription add-ons (the custom bot and the AI community manager), plus two ways to expand usage: extra groups on the same subscription and one-time DM broadcast credit packs.

2Custom white-label bot

The custom bot add-on lets you run Telm under your own bot instead of the shared @telmcom_bot. Members interact with your brand, while all moderation and features work exactly the same.

It costs 29.99 dollars per month, or 299.90 dollars per year with two months free, and requires an active Pro or Business plan on the group. If the underlying plan lapses, the custom bot is paused until the plan is active again.

The add-on gives Pro users their own bot. The add-on is available on both Pro and Business — Business does not include it for free. See “White-label bot” for setup.

3AI community manager

The AI community manager add-on gives your group an AI autopilot: scheduled digests delivered to you, on-demand conversation summaries, one auto-generated post a day on your topics, and revival posts when the chat goes quiet.

It costs 49 dollars per month, or 490 dollars per year with two months free, and like the custom bot it requires an active Pro or Business plan. It is purchased per group and billed on the same monthly-or-yearly cycle as every other subscription.

4Extra groups

A Pro subscription covers one group and a Business subscription covers five. When you run more communities, you do not need a second subscription: add extra groups to the one you have, charged as a second line on the same subscription.

Each extra group costs 19 dollars per month or 190 dollars per year, the same on Pro and Business. It gets the plan of the subscription with its own quotas, follows the same billing cycle and renews together with it, so your bill stays predictable. Extra groups are bought on the website by card or crypto; they are not sold in the mobile app, on trials or on manually granted subscriptions.

  • Pro: 1 group included, plus 19 dollars per extra group per month
  • Business: 5 groups included, plus 19 dollars per extra group per month
  • Yearly billing: 190 dollars per extra group per year
  • Free has no subscription to extend: one owner can keep up to five groups on Free, each on its own Free plan

5DM broadcast credits

Pro and Business include a monthly allowance of direct-message broadcasts (2,500 and 10,000 respectively). When you need to send more in a given month, you buy one-time credit packs instead of upgrading.

Credit packs are a single charge, not a subscription: 2,500 messages for 5 dollars, or 10,000 messages for 15 dollars. They top up your sending balance for larger campaigns.

  • Small pack: 2,500 messages for 5 dollars
  • Large pack: 10,000 messages for 15 dollars

6How “Add-ons” bill and expire

Subscription “Add-ons” follow the same billing cycle as plans: the same statuses, the same renewals and a grace window after the paid period ends. If a renewal payment is briefly delayed, the add-on keeps working during the grace period rather than cutting off instantly.

Because an add-on requires an active plan, letting the plan expire also ends the add-on entitlement, and extra groups end together with the subscription. Re-buying an add-on after a cancellation simply starts a fresh subscription on the group.

7When each add-on makes sense

Choose the custom bot when your community should see your brand rather than the shared Telm bot. Choose the AI community manager when you want the bot to engage members, not just moderate. Add extra groups when you run more communities than your plan covers, and buy broadcast credits for one-off campaigns that exceed your monthly allowance.
