Monetization Payouts: Commission, Hold and Minimum | Telm

How Telm pays out earnings from paid group access: platform commission by plan, the 14-day hold, the $50 minimum, payout methods and Stars conversion.

In short

Every sale of access lands in your earnings balance in US dollars, minus the platform commission — 10% on Free and Basic, 5% on Pro and above. Earnings mature for 14 days (refund protection), then become available. Once your available balance reaches $50 you can request a payout to bank, PayPal or crypto; requests are reviewed and paid manually.

1What Telm keeps

The platform commission depends on your group's plan: 10% of each sale on Free and Basic, 5% on Pro, Business and Enterprise. It's deducted at the moment of sale — what you see in the balance is already yours.

Payments made through Apple or Google in the mobile app carry at least a 10% commission regardless of plan, because the app stores take their own cut first.

One notable exception: Stars collected by your own white-label bot go directly to you through Telegram — Telm takes no commission on those, and they don't pass through the Telm balance at all.

Upgrading to Pro halves the commission from 10% to 5% — from roughly $580 in monthly sales, the five-point difference covers the $29 Pro price by itself.

2The 14-day hold

Each sale sits as pending for 14 days before it becomes available. This window exists because card payments can be refunded or disputed — if that happens, the related earning is reversed instead of being clawed back from a payout.

You can watch both numbers — pending and available — on the group's Monetization page in the dashboard.

3Stars, cards, and one balance

Card sales are recorded in US dollars as-is. Telegram Stars are converted to dollars at the platform rate (currently $0.013 per Star) at the moment of sale, and the rate used is stored with each transaction — later rate changes never touch past earnings.

The result is a single USD balance, no matter how your members paid.

4Requesting a payout

When the available balance reaches $50, the payout button on the Monetization page becomes active. A payout always takes the full available balance, and you can have one open request at a time.

Choose a method — bank transfer, PayPal, crypto, or other — and enter the destination details. Requests are reviewed and paid manually by the Telm team; you'll get a Telegram notification when the payout is sent (or if it's rejected, with a reason).

5What can reduce earnings

Refunds and chargebacks reverse the corresponding earning, proportionally for partial refunds. If an earning was still pending, it's simply cancelled; if the money was already paid out, the reversal is deducted from future earnings.

Everything else — pricing, who paid, when passes expire — is visible per-transaction on the Monetization page, so the balance is always reconstructable.
