Change your plan from the group's billing page in the dashboard. Upgrades apply instantly, and you pay only the prorated difference right away; downgrades take effect immediately too, with unused time credited toward your next invoice. Yearly billing is priced at 10 months, so two months are free.

Open in your dashboard1The plan lineup
Every paid subscription in Telm covers exactly one group. The lineup is Free ($0), Basic ($9/mo), Pro ($29/mo) and Business ($99/mo). Choosing yearly billing charges 10 months up front, so two months are free: Basic $90/yr, Pro $290/yr, Business $990/yr.
Each step up raises your included limits: member capacity, history retention, custom rules and monthly broadcast quota. See Overage and credits for how capacity beyond the included amount works.
- Free: 500 members, 7-day history, 5 custom rules
- Basic $9/mo: 1,000 members, 30-day history, 20 rules
- Pro $29/mo: 5,000 members, 90-day history, 100 rules, 2,500 broadcast DMs/month
- Business $99/mo: 25,000 members, 365-day history, unlimited rules, 10,000 broadcast DMs/month
2Upgrades and downgrades
An upgrade (say Basic to Pro) unlocks the higher plan's features the moment the payment clears. A downgrade (Pro to Basic) lowers your limits to the smaller plan; if your group is above the new plan's included capacity you may need capacity blocks, or some features switch off.
Both directions are handled as a single change on your existing subscription, so you keep the same billing anniversary. Switching between monthly and yearly billing works the same way as a plan change.
3How proration works
When you change plans, the price on your active subscription updates in place and the difference is invoiced right away. On an upgrade you pay only for the remaining days of the current period at the higher rate; on a downgrade the unused value of the higher plan is credited toward your next invoice.
If you have extra member-capacity blocks, they are re-priced to the new plan automatically during the change, since the price per capacity block depends on the plan.
4Member capacity moves with the plan
Included capacity differs per plan (500 / 1,000 / 5,000 / 25,000 members). When you change plans, any capacity blocks you bought are recalculated for the new tier so your group stays covered.
If a downgrade would leave your group above the new included capacity, add capacity blocks on the new plan to keep full coverage. Details are in Overage and credits.
5After the change
The new plan shows on your billing page right away, with no waiting for a background sync. Your next renewal invoice reflects the new base price plus any capacity blocks.
